💳 Insurance & Payment Information
Several of our couples and marriage therapists accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO insurance, which may cover the cost of services. When BCBS PPO is accepted, we honor the BCBS negotiated rate. Insurance benefits must be verified with your provider before the first session. Co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles are due at the time of each appointment.
💬 Couples Counseling Costs
Couples counseling sessions are available in standard and extended session formats. Extended sessions may be helpful for couples who need more time to work through communication patterns, conflict, betrayal, emotional distance, or recurring relationship concerns.

💍 Premarital Counseling
Premarital counseling, also called pre-marriage counseling, is offered through Couples Counseling Chicago. Our six-session premarital counseling package is designed to help couples explore important relationship topics before getting married.
This program covers 14 key areas that many couples benefit from discussing before marriage, including communication, conflict, finances, intimacy, family expectations, values, and long-term goals.
Premarital counseling is not covered by insurance and must be paid out of pocket.

🧭 Individual Relationship Counseling
Individual relationship counseling is also available at Couples Counseling Chicago. Many clients use one-on-one counseling to explore relationship issues, understand personal patterns, clarify needs, and create positive change in their relationships.

💻 Video Counseling / Telehealth
All of our couples therapists offer secure video counseling through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. The rates for video therapy sessions are the same as in-person counseling sessions.
🌿 Reduced Fee / Sliding Scale
Some of our couples and marriage therapists may consider a reduced fee based on your financial situation. The ability to offer a sliding scale rate depends on the counselor’s availability and the number of reduced-fee clients they are currently seeing.
The lowest reduced fee offered by our couples therapists is $150.00 per 60-minute session. Sliding scale availability is limited and depends on the individual therapist’s current schedule.
